Just for Today - Learn to Want Less and Allow More

What would your world look like if you learned to want less and allowed more? How could you practically apply this concept to your life?
Most of our days are spent wanting and desiring; a constant pull of striving for more and achieving much less peace in our daily lives.
What would the world look like if we were content with what is?
To some, this may be mistaken as having a lack of ambition or settling for something less than what you actually want. The question is, what is it that you really want?
When we strip away the wanting of the physical things that we desire in our lives, it is that which is intangible; the desire of love and peace of mind that is the unsaid want.
What would if feel like to change your impetus to feel more joy in your daily activities rather than hankering for the latest gadget the media tells us that we must have? Perhaps practicing more kindness and empathy in your daily interactions, or just feeling more content with ALL that you have right here and now instead of stressing yourself out to achieve that much more.
What most people don’t seem to realise is that when you let go of the tight grip of wanting and instead start to allow life to unfold from the perspective of contentment, you begin to organically attract all that you want without the anxiety of striving for it.
Just for today, try and make an effort to be content with all that you have everyday for an entire week.
Wake up feeling gratitude for actually making it through the night, then expand the gratitude to your home, to having light and heat, for the food in your fridge, to your family and so the list goes on.
When you are steeped in gratitude, contentment can follow upon whose wings peace pervades.
Have a beautiful day.
Namaste
